Spiritual Adoption

“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.”

~ Jeremiah 1:5

In the early 70’s a ruling that legalized abortion during any term of the 9-month pregnancy was set into law.  This ruling was Roe v. Wade.  This ruling is the reason for more than a million abortions to have been committed every year in the United States alone.

Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen encouraged a program called Spiritual Adoption to help sway the pro-choice movement around the world.  This is where one prays for an unknown child’s life that it he, or she, is spared the torture of abortion and able to live a fulfilling life.

A person takes on the responsibility to pray on a daily basis for a 9 month period by saying the following prayer.

“Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of [baby’s name] the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion.” ` Prayer of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen

Prayer is a powerful tool against evil and can make the difference between a baby living a full life or one ended in tragedy. Prayers also give the parents a spiritual support that makes all the difference in their decision process.

Please make a difference in the world and join us by spiritually adopting a baby in need today!

Liturgical Day

Things to Think About

The Sacraments are Jesus Christ's presence in us. So it is important for us to go to Confession and receive Holy Communion.
~ Pope Francis

CD of the Week

CD of the Week: Drawing Strength from Our Lady of Sorrows: Kimberly Hahn, a convert to the Catholic faith, found honoring Mary difficult to initially understand. In this presentation, she reflects on the joys and sorrows that Mary prayerfully experienced during her time on Earth, and shares how her example leads us closer to Christ.
